A dental implant is build of a titanium metal rod and a false teeth.

 

 

 

 

Before fitting an implant your dentist will examine the state of your jaw bone. The rod will be implanted in your jaw bone (invisible part) and support the false teeth (visible part). The fitting of the rod will be made under anaesthetic and need between 3 to 6 months to bond with the bone. After the healing period the false teeth will be fixed on the rod.

 

 

 

 

 

By the end of the treatment your implant feels and looks like original teeth. An implant lasts usually at least 15 years.
